Natural History Excursions
These trips can be taken separately or combined with birding or croc excursions:
Butterfly watching at Mollem, 60 kms from Panjim.
Spotting moths like etc etc., in Sattari taluka. Common varieties like Death's head hawkmoth, Silk moths are found here.. The area also has Sacred Groves, -forests that are protected by villagers for hundreds of years.
Turtle nesting site at Morjim beach. It is highly unlikely that you will spot the Olive Ridley Turtle come up to nest even if you do decide to spend a night on this beach, but Morjim is an excellent site for spying gulls and turns in the mornings.
Dolphin boat trip. The gregarious Indo-Pacific Humpbacked Dolphin (Sousa chinensis) will not perform any spectacular stunts but is still worth checking out.
An overnight option to Dudhsagar waterfalls is also being looked at. Please await further details.
Please bear in mind that we do revise our itinerary from time to time.
